Scotty’s time in ministry began in 1993 as he served as a youth pastor of just a hand-full of students. Over the next 20 years, that group grew to 1,300 students. He has a passion for the lost and a love for the Church. Currently, Scotty is serving as the National Youth Strategist for the Assemblies of God. He’s the author of three books – Carry-On, First Things First, and Overflow.
When Scotty isn’t speaking, writing, or consulting with churches, you can find him hanging out with his wife Casey, and their five girls.
Life is extra cool when they get to travel and do ministry together as a family. Otherwise, he enjoys a quiet night at home just chillin’ with the fam…not that there are ever very many quiet nights with five girls!
Like most artists Amante grew up singing in the church and in the school choir. He eventually sang background for local & national gospel artists and groups. After serving faithfully God saw fit to bring Amante to the forefront. During this time he began to not only sing under a greater anointing, but to write and play as well. Fresh lyrics and sounds were being released in the corporate worship experience that brought life and healing to all who were there. His adamant love and passion for Christ would soon unite him with believers of other races, faiths, and ages and together they would sing “The Song of the Lord.”
